The Tasting Room is the accidentally discovered downstairs room at 569 Hudson Street,
home to Philip Marie Restaurant.
The private "Tasting Room" dining space started its life as an 18th century farm house kitchen.
It was walled up and built over for more than a century until John rediscovered it,
giving back its sense of purpose. Local lore has it that, in the late 1700's, the kitchen
was the centerpiece of a loving couples home. Its dual hearths kept the lovers and the
community warm and nourished. Once again, parties of 4 to 20 may experience exceptional
dining, choosing from a customized menu, served in the very same kitchen the original
The space has been fully renovated and returned to its earliest state as an 18th Century farmhouse kitchen
complete with its original stone walls, fireplaces and window frames and will accommodate guests
with customized menu offerings in its unique and unparalled space. The Tasting Room has a historical foundation
that stretches back into Manhattan's early 1800's, through the strife of the American Civil War and the dry days of Prohibition into the future of American cuisine. The Tasting Room exclusively offers the acclaimed USA approved cuisine
of Chef John P. Greco III in a setting that is unmatched anywhere and will thrill guests with its charm and comfort.
Notable menu selections include the Wild Mushroom Stuffed Half Moon Pasta (Roasted Pine Nuts, Basil, Fresh Diced Tomato, and Ricotta Salata,) Grilled Spinach and Artichoke Heart Stuffed Chicken Breast (with citrus sauce and garlic basil mashed potatoes,) Speared Dancing Shrimp (Fresh Ginger Lime Sauce, Wild Country Rice) and the Sautéed Double Pork Chop (Stuffed with Wild Mushrooms, Essence of White Truffles, Molasses Glaze With Garlic Basil Mashed Potatoe.)

Chef Greco created his unique take on American Cuisine based upon the idea that everyone
who comes to Philip Marie can enjoy familiar tastes that are creative and tempt the palate and
excite the senses.
The Tasting Room menu offers a four course dinner. Each course is paired with a glass of wine.
You and your guests will be seated with a glass of champagne and Hors d'oeuvres to start.
The server will then offer each guest their choice of Appetizer, Soup, Main Course and Dessert,
based on everything available in-house that day.
Choose from the regular menu, the Specials menu and elements kept specifically for the private rooms.
Vegetarian, Gluten-free and other dietary concerns are all available as options.
